Root Canal is a procedure required when the bacteria in a tooth has been neglected and has traveled to the nerve inside of the tooth.
At this point we will have to clean the infection by drilling a hole in the infected tooth and removing the infected nerve tissue.
After we remove the tissue we mechanically clean the canal spaces inside of the tooth to remove any residual infection.
After Cleaning of the canals we fill those empty canals with a material called "gutta purcha" to complete the root canal procedure.
After the root canal is completed the tooth usually require additional restorative procedure.
